We woke up this morning
We woke up this morning wanting to see her again.
Then found ourselves wondering why it is true
that only from memories found deep in our hearts
can Aubrie, our beautiful daughter
be part of our day.
Aubrie our daughter won’t be waking today.
Her family and friends question why it is true
that only from memories found deep in their hearts
can Aubrie, our beautiful daughter
be part of their day.
As the world all around us is waking once more.
Aubrie’s family and friends know why it is true
that her love is with us and found in our hearts
by all who have known her wherever they are
Aubrie, our beautiful daughter
is with us today and forever.
Unfortunately, early Sunday morning (03-28-2004) the beautiful, intelligent, funny and loving daughter of Gregory Lawrence Richard and Deborah Ann (Welter) Richard passed away following a terrible automobile crash.
Aubrie loved everyone she knew and is loved by everyone she has met, and even though she has left for heaven, she is now available to all of her family and friends through thoughts and prayers. We know when you call on her she will answer you in all your moments of joy, sorrow and need. Aubrie will never forget you and knows you will always remember her.
Besides her parents, Aubrie is survived by her brother Jason Sherrill, her great-grandmothers Marian Welter and Ruth Simonel, and her grandparents June Welter, and Dave and Paulette (Simonel) Richard -- All of these people bring with them an additional circle of friends that Aubrie loved and who in turn love Aubrie.
Her uncles and aunts include Bill and Lorraine (Welter) Cochran, Michael Welter, David Welter, Barry and Sue (Richard) Miltenberger, Mark Richard, Steve and Sharon Richard, Jeff and Lisa (Richard) Thompson, and Chris Richard -- All of these people bring with them an additional circle of friends that Aubrie loved and who in turn love Aubrie.
Her cousin’s include Stephanie and Ashley Miltenberger, Joe and Marsca Cochran and their son Dakota, Lindsey Richard, Ryan Richard, Ty Richard, and Cory Richard -- All of these people bring with them an additional circle of friends that Aubrie loved and who in turn love Aubrie.
Aubrie’s extended family and friends include all of her wonderfully loving friends and their parents from her years she spent at St. Anthony’s school and parish. Extending this circle of loving friends is everyone she knew from Marian High School where she attended her freshman year, her loving friends from Adams High School where she attended her sophomore and junior years, and her other loving friends that can be found at every high school in the area -- All of these people bring with them an additional circle of friends that Aubrie loved and who in turn love Aubrie.
Recently, Aubrie started working as a hostess at Applebee’s Restaurant on Portage Avenue, and as a junior volunteer at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in South Bend. We are sure the people she met in these new endeavors immediately found the love and friendship this beautiful soul offered and counted her as a loving friend -- All of these people bring with them an additional circle of friends that Aubrie loved and who in turn love Aubrie.
When someone as special as Aubrie comes along in life it is natural for people to have nicknames for her. Some of her family and friends favorites are Aub, Aubbie,
Aubba, Aubba-Daubba, Daubie, Huggabear, BooBoo, Aubster, Aubster the Lobster,
Sweetie, Aubrie Cornfield, Blondie, Baby G, Baby Bunny, and
"Stimpy" from her special friend “Ren”, as well as many, many more nicknames that reflect the love she shared with everyone she knew.
Please make memorial contribution to St. Anthony de Padua Catholic School, 2120 E. Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, IN 46617 for the wonderful care they provided our family, especially our daughter, Aubrie, her friends and all of their families.
